Christmas albums sold through
 the Reader's Digest Association.

The Reader's Digest Association, of Pleasantville, New York sold record album sets in just about every musical genre imaginable. There was Jazz, Musicals, Country & Western, Easy Listening, Dance, and of course, Christmas music. They were sold in multi album box sets featuring a variety of artists to magazine subscribers. Some people like these album sets for their variety, while others hate them for their variety! Sometimes you just can't win.

So here are 5 of the Reader's Digest Christmas album sets from my music collection along with track listings to help whomever wants to research them. They all hearken back to a time when people listened to CHRISTMAS music. Typically on these album sets, each L.P. side had a different theme, as you can see from the track listings.

	Readers Digest 4 L.P. Box set "Joyous Music for Christmas Time" Produced by Charles Gerhardt through RCA custom products, catalog #RD 22-K, released 1963. Recording engineer: K .E. Wilkinson. The "Dynagroove" logo on the box dates the set to 1963 or later.
	Readers Digest 4 L.P. Box set  "Joyous Noel" Produced by RCA custom products, catalog #RDA-57A released 1968. "From 38 Great Artists of Yesterday and today - Enrico Caruso, Mario Lanza, Glenn Miller, Perry Como, John McCormick, Robert Shaw Chorale, Marian Anderson, Harry Belafonte, John Gary, Henry Mancini, Jim Reeves, The Ames Brothers, Norman Luboff Choir, - and many more.
	Readers Digest 4 L.P. Box set  "Merry Christmas"   Produced by Columbia Special products, Cat No. RDA83-A. Released 1969. "Merry Christmas from The Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Ray Conniff, Mitch Miller, Doris Day, Percy Faith, Robert Goulet, Andre Kostelanetz, New Christy Minstrels, and 24 more of the world's most popular artists.
	Readers Digest 5 L.P. Box set  "Back Home for Christmas" Produced by RCA custom products, catalog #RDA-110A released 1972. "23 Great stars Including: Julie Andrews, Perry Como, Chet Atkins, Jack Jones, Ed Ames & The Robert Shaw Chorale.
	Readers Digest 5 L.P. Box set. "Christmas Through the Years."  Produced by RCA records, catalog #RDA-143a released 1984. Features recordings from the 1940s with Perry Como, Glenn Miller, and Bing Crosby to the modern pop era with Brenda Lee, Roy Orbison and the Lettermen.
